The Outdoor Circle, East Hawaii Branch, in partnership with the JROTC of Hilo High School, will be doing a community replanting project from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The planting area is located behind the Hilo Lagoon Business Center lower parking area and above the Wailoa Art Center.

“Keeping Hawaii Clean, Green, and Beautiful” has been the Outdoor Circle’s mission since 1912. Due to the loss of two large monkeypod trees, kupuna and youth volunteers will be replanting the area with flowering trees and shrubs while carefully following COVID-19 protocols.
